Cheers, Craft Beer Fans: Brewers Return to Nearby Old Town
Today marks the official start of the summer. What better way to kick it off than by choosing from more than 100 craft beers? Chicago Craft Beer Festival returns this weekend to nearby Old Town. Read on for all the details.

Chicago Craft Beer Festival will return this Friday through Sunday to the grounds of  St. Michael, 1633 N. Cleveland Ave., in nearby Old Town for its second suds-filled year.
Showcasing specialty, seasonal and small batch beers from dozens of local, regional and national brewers, this year's main event is a huge tasting tent where beer lovers will be able to sample from more than 100 craft brews with the purchase of a "tasting pass", coordinators said.Â

Attendees will get 15 to 20 3-ounce samples per tasting pass. Although Saturday's passes are sold out, you can still enjoy a beer garden tent where bottled beer will be sold.Â

A full beer list can be found on the event's website, but among featured brewers are: Chicago's Finch's Beer Company, Half Acre Brewing and Revolution Brewery; Milwaukee's Lakefront Brewery; Colorado's Tommyknocker; Widmer Brothers (Portland, Ore.); New York's Brooklyn Brewery; and Hawaii's Kona Brewing.
The festival will also feature musical performances each day.Â
At 8 p.m. on Friday, West Coast singer Tyrone Williams will take the stage. Saturday's lineup starts at 6:15 p.m. with Todd Kessler, season three contestant on NBC's The Voice, and continues with an 8:15 p.m. performance by blues pianist Marcia Ball.
Alt-country singer Robbie Fulks is the main event at 5 p.m. on Sunday.Festival grounds will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday; from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
