Crime Map: Sex Abuse on Lincoln; 5 Robberies in 1 Week

Several burglaries, an aggravated assault, a drug abuse incident, multiple motor vehicle thefts and robberies were among crimes reported within Lincoln Park between June 13 and June 20.

Aggravated Assault


FRIDAY, JUNE 14
  • Police said an aggravated assault was reported around 8:45 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Bissell Street. A knife or "cutting instrument" was involved in the scuffle.

Burglaries


FRIDAY, JUNE 14
  • A restaurant in the 2000 block of North Halsted was burglarized around 7 p.m., according to police.
SATURDAY, JUNE 15
  • A break-in was reported around 9:30 a.m. to an apartment in the 800 block of West Armitage Avenue.
  • Police say someone broke into an apartment in the 1000 block of West Webster Avenue around 10 a.m.
SUNDAY, JUNE 16
  • A burglar, or burglars, forced their way into a garage around 11 a.m. in the 800 block of West Lill Avenue.
MONDAY, JUNE 17
  • Someone broke into an athletic club in the 2200 block of North Halsted Street around 12:30 a.m., police said.
  • Residents of a home in the 100 block of West Eugenie Street reported a burglary around 8:30 p.m., according to police reports.
THURSDAY, JUNE 20
  • Police say a garage in the 1900 block of West Mohawk Street was burglarized around 3:50 a.m.

Drug Abuse


FRIDAY, JUNE 14

  • Police say an incident involving the possession of marijuana occurred around 12:30 a.m. at a school or public grounds in the 2000 block of North Orchard Street.

Motor Vehicle Thefts


FRIDAY, JUNE 14
  • Police say a motor vehicle theft was reported around 11:30 involving a car parked in the 2700 block of North Magnolia Avenue.
  • Around 7 p.m., a vehicle owner reported a motor vehicle theft to a cycle or scooter that was parked in the 600 block of West Wrightwood Avenue.
  • An 8:30 p.m. motor vehicle theft reportedly occurred in the 1800 block of North Lincoln Avenue.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19
  • A motor vehicle theft was reported around 6 p.m. in the 200 block of West Fullerton Avenue.
  • About an hour later, shortly after 7 p.m., someone reported a motor vehicle theft in the 2200 block of North Clark Street. The vehicle was parked in the street.

Robberies


FRIDAY, JUNE 14
  • A robbery involving a handgun was reported around 1:40 a.m. in the 600 block of West Fullerton Avenue. The incident occurred on a sidewalk.
  • A robber, or robbers, armed with a handgun reportedly targeted a victim on a sidewalk around 1:35 a.m. in the 2300 block of North Geneva Terrace.
MONDAY, JUNE 17
  • Around 2:25 p.m., someone robbed a victim on a sidewalk in the 2100 block of North Seminary Avenue, according to police. The suspect, or suspects, did not use a weapon.
THURSDAY, JUNE 20
  • A robber who was armed with a dangerous weapon other than a handgun reportedly struck around 6:45 p.m. in the 2500 block of North Lincoln Avenue.
  • A strong-armed robbery that did not involve a weapon was reported around 10:30 p.m. in the 500 block of West Eugenie Street. The incident occurred on a sidewalk.

Criminal Sexual Abuse


FRIDAY, JUNE 14
  • Police say a criminal sexual abuse was reported in a non-commercial vehicle that was in the 2500 block of North Lincoln Avenue. The incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m., according to the report.
