Construction Workers Closing Sheffield Soon
Lincoln Park drivers will not be able to use a portion of Sheffield Avenue beginning Monday.
Drivers frequenting Sheffield Avenue will have to take a detour starting next week.
Between Monday, June 17 and Wednesday, July 3, the street will be closed from Webster to Fullerton avenues for the reconstruction of the Sheffield water main, according to information provided by 43rd Ward Ald. Michele Smith.
The closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and will not include weekends.
One lane will be left open for emergency traffic, while the No. 37 CTA Bus will be rerouted.
