Crime Map: Sex Assault, Public Indecency, 6 Robberies
Several burglaries, two aggravated batteries, a public indecency incident, multiple motor vehicle thefts and robberies were among crimes reported within Lincoln Park between June 21 and July 4.

Aggravated Batteries
SUNDAY, JUNE 23
- Police say an aggravated battery occurred around 3 a.m. in the 1800 block of West Fullerton Avenue. Though the report doesn't specify, it does indicate a "dangerous weapon" was involved.
- Around 4:40 p.m., an aggravated battery was reported on a Chicago Transit Authority train in the 900 block of West Fullerton Avenue. A weapon was used.
Burglaries
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26
- A burglar, or burglars, forced entry into a commercial business in the 2400 block of North Clark Street around 1:20 a.m.
- Around 1 a.m., someone burglarized restaurant in the 2500 block of North Lincoln Avenue.
- Residents of a home in the 1700 block of West Altgeld Street reported a break-in around 6 p.m.
- A break-in was reported around 10 a.m. at a garage in the 2600 block of North Burling Street.
- Thieves targeted a garage in the 400 block of West Webster Avenue around 9 p.m., according to police.
Criminal Sexual Assault
SUNDAY, JUNE 30
- A criminal sex assault was reported around 5 a.m. at an apartment in the 1000 block of West Webster Avenue, police said.
Public Indecency
MONDAY, JULY 1
- A public indecency was reported around 10 a.m. in the 2500 block of North Ashland Avenue. Police say the incident was in an alley.
Motor Vehicle Thefts
FRIDAY, JUNE 21
- Someone broke into a car that was parked in the street of the 1800 block of North Clark Street. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m.
- Thieves targeted a vehicle around 10 p.m. in the 200 block of West Saint Paul Avenue.
- A burglar, or burglars, forced entry around 3:15 p.m. to a vehicle parked on the street in the 800 block of West Fullerton Avenue.
- Someone burglarized a vehicle around 1 p.m. that was parked in a non-residential parking lot in the 1200 block of West Fullerton Avenue.
- A scooter in the 400 block of West Fullerton Avenue was burglarized around 3:30 a.m., police said. It was parked on the street.
- Police say a car parked in the 2400 block of Lakeview Avenue was burglarized around 9 p.m. It was on the street, acceding to the report.
- A vehicle parked in the 2600 block of North Bosworth Avenue was burglarized around 9:30 p.m., police say.
- Thieves stole a vehicle, which was later recovered, from the 1700 block of North Clark Street around 6 p.m. It was parked on the street, according to the report.
- Police say someone burglarized a vehicle around 11 p.m. It was parked in a garage in the 2600 block of North Paulina Street.
Robbery
SUNDAY, JUNE 23
- Police say a victim was robbed around 7:15 p.m. on a sidewalk in the 100 block of East Lasalle Drive. The incident was classified as a "strong-armed" robbery—meaning the culprit used force—but no weapon was used.
- A suspect armed with a knife robbed someone around 10:45 p.m. in the street of the 2300 block of North Clark Street.
- A robbery was reported around 1:25 a.m. in the 700 block of West Wrightwood Avenue, police said. The incident occurred on a sidewalk.
- An attempted robbery was reported aroun 3 a.m., police say. The crime occurred on a sidewalk in the 700 block of West Webster Avenue.
- A strong-armed robbery was reported around 1:40 a.m. on a sidewalk in the 2300 block of North Ashland Avenue. No weapon was used.
- Around 1:15 a.m., a robber targeted a pedestrian on a sidewalk in the 1000 block of West Montana Street.
