Man Killed In Lincoln Park Hotel Lounge: Police

CHICAGO, IL — A man was shot and killed overnight following an altercation at a North Side hotel lounge, according to police.

The incident occurred shortly after 1:15 a.m. Sunday at a hotel in the 1800 block of North Clark Street, across from Lincoln Park, police said. The only hotel in the immediate area is the four-star Hotel Lincoln.

Two men had been fighting in the lounge when one shot the other in the chest, according to police. The victim, who was 35, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and pronounced dead, police said.

No one was immediately in custody and detectives were investigating, according to police.
