New Webster Eatery Named Among 10 'Hottest Restaurants' For June

The pros at Chicago Magazine say a new restaurant that set up shop in Lincoln Park earlier this spring is worth your visit.

A new Lincoln Park restaurant has snagged the attention of the dining experts at Chicago Magazine, earning the title of one of 10 hot spots to visit this month.

The magazine listed its 10 favorites from across the city, from Lincoln Park to the West Loop. Among them is Homeslice Wheel House, a log cabin-style venue at 938 W. Webster Ave. that boasts high-end pizzas, calzones and great salads.

It serves up pizza by the slice between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. each week day and always available out-of-the-box concoctions like french toast pizza.

Diners can choose from seemingly endless pie combinations with funky names like the "Kern-Holio", which is made up of roasted chicken, portabella mushrooms, roasted garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, mozzarella, provolone and marinara.

Oregon natives Clay Hamilton and Josh Iachelli are behind the business. They opened the doors in late March and have since racked up quite a few accolades from food-forward publications.

The restaurant's rustic atmosphere and innovative design is what's noted in the magazine's mention.

"Because nothing says good pizza like a log cabin with two bathrooms containing 209,000 pennies," it says.
