A 24-year-old man was reportedly robbed of his photography equipment in Monday's early hours while trying to take pictures of the extra-bright moon.

A photographer was attacked and robbed in Lincoln Park early Monday while trying to photograph the closer and brighter-than-usual "supermoon".

It appeared 14 percent wider and 30 percent brighter than usual, experts have said.
