Sheffield Garden Walk & Festival Takes Over Neighborhood This Weekend
One of the neighborhood's most well-attended events is right around the corner. Get the full musical lineup, all the shopping deals, and food tidbits of the upcoming Sheffield Garden Walk & Festival.

There will be more than just beautiful flowers and talented musicians at this year's Sheffield Garden Walk.
The Lincoln Park Merchants Association—a volunteer group of local business owners committing to promoting the "Shop Local" initiative—is hosting its 18th Annual Sidewalk Sale in conjunction with the walk and festival, which is scheduled for this weekend, July 20 and July 21.
As of Tuesday, more than 20 shops planned to participate in the sale. Around the corner will be the 45th Annual Sheffield Garden Walk & Festival. That will feature more than 80 gardens, guided architectural tours, live music, food, drinks and kids' activities.

“This is always an exciting weekend for the Lincoln Park community with our annual Sidewalk Sale and the Garden Walk,” Alyssa Thomas, LPMA committee member and owner of Comfort Me Boutique, said in a news release. “Plus, this year, we will have some entertainment: a DJ and face painting for kids, as well as food trucks. It will be a fun event for the whole family.”
Food trucks Toasty Cheese, The Sweet Ride and The Slide Ride will be parked along Armitage, Halsted and Webster streets.

The walk starts at Webster and Sheffield. A suggested $7 donation—or $10 after 3 p.m.—goes to the Sheffield Neighborhood Association (SNA), a nonprofit community organization. Money provides continued support for neighborhood schools, local institutions and community projects, according to the event's website.
They are also allocated to SNA's Beautification Program, a plan to maintain Sheffield as the Garden District of Chicago.
