Street Fest Season Marches On: 'Barenaked' Headliner Coming to Arts & Music Soiree

One of Chicago's most touted street festivals will be returning to the streets surrounding DePaul University later this month. The musical lineup, which features several well-known rockers, was recently announced. Read on for all the details!

The Lincoln Park Arts & Music Festival, arguably Chicago's most quintessential summer arts soiree, is returning for its fifth year to the tree-lined streets of Lincoln Park's DePaul University area.

In addition to the works of more than 50 juried artists, there will be plenty of  cool tunes as well as food and a family-friendly kids' activity area, according to a news release from Special Events Management, which helps coordinate the event.

It's scheduled for June 29-30 in the 2300 block of North Racine Avenue between Fullerton and Webster avenues and Saturday's music headliner—announced last week—will be Steven Page, a founding member of acclaimed Canadian alt-rockers Barenaked Ladies.

Page left the group in 2009 to pursue a solo career, according to the SEM news release. On Sunday, lauded East Coast singer and songwriter, Howie Day, will perform.

Other musical guests include folk rocker Todd Kessler, a native of north suburban Northbrook and a Season three contestant on NBC's The Voice, as well as feisty Chicago pop punkers Super Happy Fun Club.
