The Sweet Return of the Stan’s Donut 5K and Kids Dash

The sweet return of the Stan’s Donut 5K and Kids Dash - now in its 5th year – is once again in-person and coming to Chicago’s lakefront Saturday, August 14! “Donut’ forget to register for this family-friendly event - sponsored by the iconic Stan’s Donuts and produced by Chicagoland based, Adrenaline Special Events (ASE). This event will adhere to all CDC recommended safety protocols, and a virtual option with all the benefits of in-person participation is also available!

The charity beneficiary is the Greater Chicago Food Depository, an organization that partners with several hundred agencies throughout Cook County to distribute food and assistance for area food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.

The registration for all participants–whether in-person or virtual–includes a woman’s tank top, but supplies are limited, so get them before they’re gone! Other swag includes a unisex dri-fit shirt, a golden, donut-shaped finisher’s medal with a spinner, and a race bib.

In-person walkers/runners will enjoy Montrose Harbor’s beautiful lakefront and can grab a donut (or two, or three) at stations along the course. A virtual 5K/Kids Dash will also take place, in addition to a 10K, and half or full marathon for those who prefer not to attend in person. Stan’s Donut gift certificates will be provided to all virtual participants.

“It’s been a sweet partnership between Stan’s Donuts and Adrenaline Special Events - and we’re thrilled to be in our fifth year, with precautions in place to keep everyone safe,” said ASE Founder Aaron Del Mar. "Individuals of all athletic levels are welcome to participate; even adults with children in strollers are invited to take part.”
