Clean up Ward 47 on Saturday

The second annual Fall Clean-up Day is Saturday across the ward.

Join your neighbors and help clean up Ward 47 this Saturday.

The Fall Clean-up is a neighborhood initiative in its second year. Ald. Ameya Pawar started the event as a counterpart to the city-wide Spring Clean-up when he was elected.

Residents also can drop off paper and electronic recycling from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5333 North Western Avenue.

From the Greater Rockwell Organization:

This weekend, get together with your neighbors and help clean up the Rockwell Crossing area before the winter weather sets in! We'll be meeting on Saturday at 10 a.m. near Beans and Bagels and splitting up the block and tasks into manageable chunks - and many hands do make for light work, so please come out!

If you have a spare broom, trash bag, or gloves, bring them along, but if you don't just come along to pitch in - no effort is too big or too small!
