Cops Invite Public To View and Claim Stolen Property

Property was recovered from residential burglaries in the 19th and 20th police districts this year. Viewing takes place Dec. 5.

Chicago Police Area North detectives invite the public to come view and possibly claim property stolen earlier this year in home burglaries.

The viewing will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, in the Bureau of Detectives-Area North Auditorium located at 2452 W. Belmont Ave. (Belmont and Western).

Property on display was taken from home burglaries in the 19th and 20th police districts between March and November.

Persons wishing to claim property must be able to provide proof of purchase or ownership.

The stolen property was recovered from the area bounded by Fullerton Avenue on the south, Lake Michigan on the east, the Chicago River on the west and Peterson Avenue on the north.
