Drunk Couple Delays Damen Brown Line Train

A man threw a beer bottle and his girlfriend scratched the CTA operator, who suffered minor cuts.

A drunken female passenger scratched a CTA train operator at the Damen Brown Line Station, the Chicago Tribune reported Tuesday.

The passenger’s boyfriend threw a beer bottle at the operator and missed, prompting the woman to attack the operator.

The incident delayed service for more than 20 minutes at about 9:50 p.m. on Monday, according to the CTA.

The operator was checking on a disturbance and discovered the couple, intoxicated and arguing loudly, the Tribune reported.

The operator suffered minor cuts and was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital.
