New and Vintage Home Accessory Store Opens in Lincoln Square

Homesoul opened last week on North Lincoln Avenue.

Lincoln Square has a new place to buy candles, pillows and other home accessories.

Homesoul, which opened Oct. 2, sells new and vintage home decor. It’s located at 4526 North Lincoln Avenue, next to The Grafton Pub.

Owner Dana Weed stocks the store with antique and estate store finds, along with pieces from local artists. Homesoul features black and white photographs and paintings, which Weed will switch out every few months.

A former nurse and stay-at-home mother of two, Weed went to school for interior design and then decided to take a different route.

“I asked myself, ‘What could I see myself doing?’ and this was it,” she said. “It’s a neighborhood shop, the kids can come by after school and it’s close to home.”

In the future, Weed said she’d like to add a flower shop and decorating services to the business.
