Residents aren't the only ones reaping the benefits from the garden. A few plots are reserved for the county's local Community and Economic Development Association. Those veggies are given to women and children who can't always get fresh food.
The hospital's garden is the seventh for the PGP. Since 2010, more than 2,600 gardeners have planted seeds in 664 plots in the area.
