New Community Mural Needs Fun-Seeking Volunteers

The entire family can help with this future piece of Lincoln Square art.

Lincoln Square residents can be part of a new piece of community art.

Two murals are planned for the Swedish Covenant Hospital community garden at Carmen and California avenues. And now, designers need neighbors' help in painting them.

In one day, families are invited to come to the garden to help paint the two spaces.

The project is a partnership between the Peterson Garden Project, Swedish Covenant Hospital and Whole Foods Market in Sauganash

Whole Foods approached the hospital as a service project that eared around gardening, sustainability and community-building. The grocery store will provide a build-your-own salad bar lunch for all volunteers.

Reserve your spot now for the painting, Sept. 14 from 10 to 1 p.m.
