Recent Robberies Spur Neighborhood Safety Meeting
After an armed robbery in Ravenswood and another theft on the CTA, residents are bringing in experts to answer questions about area crime.

After police issued a warning about armed robbers in the area, one neighborhood association is hosting a public safety meeting to address residents' concerns.
Sgt. Jason Clark from the Chicago Police 19th District and Jim Poole from Ward 47 Alderman Ameya Pawar's office will be on hand to discuss crime awareness. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at the All Saints' Episcopal Church, 1757 W. Wilson Ave.
On Aug. 1, Chicago Police warned residents after six armed robberies occurred within nine days of each other. The most recent robbery was two weeks after two off-duty police officers thwarted a cell phone robbery near the Montrose Brown Line.
