LISLE, IL — As Valentine's Day approaches, the Morton Arboretum is prepping to host an event for people who want to celebrate the real meaning of Valentine's Day: chocolate. This year's Chocolate Weekend is set to offer scrumptious samples Feb. 3 and Feb. 4, with Feb. 2 set aside as a special preview night for arboretum members.
Dedicated to the cacao tree, Chocolate Weekend will feature vendors offering chocolates to sample and by, with plenty of varieties on offer.
Members can get a sneak peek Feb. 2 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and can also snag tickets to bring guests who aren't arboretum members. Participants who are 21 and older will get a complimentary Bailey's-infused hot chocolate, hot white chocolate and Nocino, or a glass of beer or wine with admission. Tickets are $20.
