Psychic Reading Business Gets Unanimous Approval For Ogden Avenue Location

LISLE, IL — Lisle's village board recently voted unanimously to approve a special use permit that will allow a psychic reading shop that has been located at 4704 Main St. to relocated to 1616 Ogden Ave.

The business, Psychic Readings by Mary, will occupy part of the top floor of the two-story building that is also home to Lisle Dental Care and Ogden Buy and Sell. At a Nov. 19 public hearing, the planning and zoning commission received no objections and voted 5-2 in favor of the special use permit request, with conditions regarding property maintenance.

These conditions include a provision that "no household living or other use is allowed," per village documents. That condition comes after four complaints had been filed between 2002 and 2012 reporting that someone had been living at the business's 4704 Main St. location.

Other conditions include removing items from the Ogden Avenue property, including a couch and a school bus with graffiti on it. Additionally, illuminated signing must be removed and will be prohibited at the location.
