January National Stalking Month Resources: Lisle Police
Lisle Police Department share tactics used by stalkers, other info. as a way to bring light to National Stalking Awareness Month in January.

LISLE, IL — January is National Stalking Awareness Month, Lisle Police Department said.
According to a Lisle Police Department Facebook post, at least 1 in 6 woman and 1 in 17 men have experienced being a victim of stalking at some point in their lifetime that was severe enough for them to fear they or someone they know would be harmed.
"Stalkers use a variety of tactics, including (but not limited to): unwanted contact including phone calls, texts, and contact via social media, unwanted gifts, showing up/approaching an individual or their family/friends, monitoring, surveillance, property damage, and threats," according to the Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center (SPARC).
