Village To Host Public Hearing On Proposed Zoning Ordinance

In the fall of 2019, efforts to clarify and modernize zoning regulations found in Title 5 of the Village Code began. This comprehensive revision of the Village’s zoning regulations is targeted at creating a modern, consistent and predictable regulatory environment that is inviting to economic development efforts while safeguarding the community’s characteristics. Staff has recently completed a draft of these updates which will be considered by the Lisle Planning and Zoning Commission at a public hearing on September 9, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Public input plays a vital role in ensuring that code provisions best serve the community. Interested parties are encouraged to review the updates and provide comment by attending the PZC meeting. Written comments may also be submitted through mail, hand delivered to Village Hall, or by email at zoningcodeupdate@villageoflisle.org. This effort addresses one of the Key Strategic Performance Areas, Quality Economic Development, established by the 2019 – 2021 Strategic Priorities adopted by the Village Board.
