• Part Of South Campus Floods From Pipe Issue (patch.com) — A burst sprinkler pipe at Lyons Township High School’s South Campus flooded two classroom wings near the performing arts center, briefly sending about 2,000 students outside before they were moved into the fieldhouse. Most students were back in class within 30 minutes, but those in the flooded areas were relocated while staff worked to clean and stabilize the building for Lyons-area families.

• Lyons Township High Not Short On Cash (patch.com) — Lyons Township High School is waiting on $45 million in delayed Cook County property tax distributions, forcing the district to shift up to $4 million from its working cash fund to keep operations stable. If no money arrives by February, officials warn short‑term borrowing may be needed, a move that could ultimately affect services for Lyons families and other township residents.
• OPRF, Fenwick hockey revel in big wins (oakpark.com) — Local hockey fans may be interested that Oak Park and River Forest’s club is thriving in the Illinois West conference, which includes nearby Lyons Township among its toughest opponents. The Huskies are 13-3 in league play after key wins, while Fenwick’s squad is also surging as it heads to a major holiday tournament in Cleveland, leaning on strong leadership and goaltending.
