1 Person Injured After Car Hits Telephone Pole In Manhattan: FD
The person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries after the single-car accident on Elevator Road, fire officials said.
MANHATTAN, IL — One person suffered minor injuries in a single-car accident in which the car hit a telephone pole in Manhattan on Thursday night, officials said on Friday.
The accident took place on Elevator Road at 10:18 p.m. when Manhattan fire officials said the car left the roadway and struck a telephone pole, Fire Chief Steve Malone said. ComEd crews were already on the scene of the crash before fire officials arrived, Watson said.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the crash. ComEd crews were back out at the scene on Friday morning making repairs caused by the car hitting the pole.
