Missing Beecher Man Found Safe: Sheriff

BEECHER, IL — A 73-year-old man reported missing in Beecher Thursday morning was found safe later that night, Will County Sheriff's police said.

The man was found in brush off a gravel access road in Beecher, not far from his residence, the sheriff's department said. The Will County Sheriff’s Office deployed drones and K-9 deputies to assist in the search. The man was taken to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.

The sheriff's department thanked the Will County Emergency Management Agency, the Lake County, Indiana Sheriff’s Office, and all police and volunteers that assisted in the search.
