Manhattan Labor Day Party Plans
The Sept. 5 event is scheduled to include food, music, games and more.
MANHATTAN, IL — Village of Manhattan residents looking forward to Labor Day weekend are going to be in for a treat when Labor Day Party starts Sept. 5.
The Village is hosting the party, which runs from 3-8:30 p.m., with a fireworks show to cap the evening off. Performances by the ROTC, Lincoln Way West Madrigals and the Manhattan Junior High Band are highlighted, as well as a volleyball tournament and bags tournament.
Scheduled activities include:- Inflatables.
- A DJ with balloon animals.
- Face Painting.
- A pet station with contests for best costume, best patriotic costume, best trick, smallest and largest pet, and a peanut butter lick contest.
Food vendors are scheduled to include Smokin'Z BBQ, Rosati's Pizza, the Creamery, and pop and water sold by the Manhattan Boy Scouts.
