25 Ways to Help Kids Stay Safer
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children compiled a list of simple, practical tips for safety while kids are at home, going to and from school, while out and when online.
The recent attempted abduction of an Orland Hills girl after she stepped off a school bus, and was then attacked, is one among three similar recent cases.
One other situation happened in Tinley Park on Oct. 24, where a man tried to lure students into his car by selling them dandelions. Earlier in the month, three men in a Toyota tried to lure a Flossmoor student after school.
