3 Mokena Runners Part Of 2023 Boston Marathon Field

Michael Mendoza and Marissa Latko return to Boston after finishing last year's event and will be joined by Margaret Marron on Patriot's Day.

MOKENA, IL — A trio of Mokena runners will take part in the 2023 Boston Marathon on Monday, joining a field of more than 30,000 competitors that will participate in one of the nation's top sporting events.

You can see the list of Mokena residents running below. Two of the runners participated in the 2022 Boston Marathon in October. Michael Mendoza finished last year's event in 3 hours, 32 minutes and .06 seconds while Marissa Latko reached the finish in 3:41.13.
