MOKENA, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Mokena with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Mokena District 159, which serves three schools including Mokena Elementary School, Mokena Intermediate School, and Mokena Junior High.

The first day of school for most students in Mokena is Wednesday.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year, according to the district calendar.
