BBQ Bonanza At Mokena VFW Set For Saturday

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena VFW is scheduled to host its annual BBQ Bonanza from 4 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the VFW, 19852 Wolf Road.

Patrons can purchase either a steak or chicken dinner with sides and dessert for $15, according to Mokena VFW Commander Jim Hogan. Tickets do not need to be purchased in advance, he said.

The dinner is scheduled to go from 5-7 p.m., Hogan said. There will also be a live DJ and raffles, he said.

Proceeds from the BBQ Bonanza will go toward the Manteno Veterans Home, Hogan said.

Food for the event was provided by Stoney Point Grill, Post Game Pub & Sedona Grille, and Berkot's Super Foods, Hogan said.
