Christmas Tree Pickup Offered Throughout January: Village

MOKENA, IL — The stockings were hung, the trees were lit and now it's time to put it all away. On Tuesdays throughout the month of January, NuWay Disposal will offer free pickup of natural Christmas trees, according to a news release from the Village of Mokena.

All trees must have ornaments, garland, lights, tinsel and stands removed in order to be picked up. Trees should be placed on the curb alongside regular refuse and recycling containers, the Village said.
