'A Cleaner, Better Mokena': Cleanup Day Scheduled For April 9
The Village of Mokena is asking residents to pitch in and help clean up areas around town.
MOKENA, IL — The Village of Mokena announced Monday that Cleanup Day is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon April 9, and the Village is asking residents to pitch in "for a cleaner, better Mokena."
Those who are interested in participating will meet at Mokena Village Hall, 11004 Carpenter St. From there, residents will be sent out to different locations around town to help collect trash.
Gloves and trash bags will be provided by the Village. Community service hours will be offered for this event.

As an added incentive, those who participate will be offered hot dogs, chips and pop following the cleanup.
