Community Donates 300+ Coats With Local Idea Turned Into Action
KamBri Realty, LLC and AAIS Insurance teamed up to host a coat drive Saturday at their office in Mokena.

MOKENA, IL — It started with one idea from one woman who was cold. That idea got turned into action. And that action from one idea from one woman led to a coat drive where 347 coats were donated.
KamBri Realty, LLC and AAIS Insurance teamed up to host the coat drive Saturday at their office at 19031 Old LaGrange Road Suite 210 in Mokena. KamBri Realty Owner and Managing Broker Karyn Murphy put out a call on Patch and social media for donations. Now all those coats will go to Tinley Park-based Together We Cope, a nonprofit organization that provides food, shelter, clothing and referrals for those in the south suburbs.
"Thank you, community. Thank you for opening your heart, for opening your closets. We appreciate it," Murphy said.

And Murphy said it likely won't be the last charitable drive she does.
Murphy said the success of the coat drive has led here to already start planning a shoe drive for next month.
