Controlled Burn Happening At Hickory Creek Preserve: Village
The controlled burn is expected to go until approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday.
MOKENA, IL — The Village of Mokena is alerting residents to a controlled burn taking place Tuesday at the Hickory Creek Preserve, east of Schoolhouse Road and west of Wolf Road. The controlled burn is expected to continue until 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Village.
Residents are being advised to close windows and "take any other precautions you feel necessary," according to the alert.
Any questions regarding the controlled burn should be directed to the Forest Preserve District of Will County at 815-727-8700.
