Huntington Learning Center Awards $4,000 Scholarship To Frankfort Teen

MOKENA, IL — A Frankfort resident and high school junior was recently named the recipient of a $4,000 college scholarship sweepstakes that was awarded by Huntington Learning Center in Mokena.

May Sughayar, who attends Aqsa High School in Bridgeview, won the scholarship sweepstakes, which is open to high school students ages 14 and up. Parents, grandparents, and friends of high school students planning to attend college after graduation were also eligible for the sweepstakes, which participants entered via text message.

Sughayar is a junior at Aqsa and participates in Model United Nations, the Illinois Junior Academy of Sciences student board, and is also a member of the National Honor Society.

“When I got the call that I had won, I didn’t believe it and thought it was a fake,” she said in a news release. “I am so excited and super happy.”

Huntington Learning Center has been recognized as the nation’s top tutoring and test prep provider. The organization offers customized programs for in-person and online instructional services through which certified teachers provide individualized instruction in several subjects including reading, math, writing, chemistry, and other sciences.

“Huntington is a proud supporter of high school students who strive to attend college, and we are excited to assist May with her college tuition,” Ripon Bhuiya, owner of the Mokena Huntington Learning Center location, said in the news release.
