NEW! POGO STICKING 101

Are you ready to bounce into a trilling new challenge? Try Mokena Park District’s new class, POGO STICKING 101 on Thursdays, July 17–August 7, 2025 from 6–7pm at Fox Ridge Park, 19740 Telluride Ave., Mokena. Join 3X World Champion Extreme Pogo Athlete, Earl Pote for an exciting fundamental class is for beginners to experienced. You’ll learn how to control a pogo stick, master beginner tricks, and tackle obstacles all with expert guidance. Pogo sticks will be provided. Please bring a helmet along with a water bottle and get ready to have fun outdoor exercise. Fee R/NR: $40/$45. Age 8–13. Preregistration is required. Registration deadline: July 10. NEW! POPSTAR 4-DAY EXPERIENCE

Step into the spotlight at Mokena Park District’s POPSTAR 4-DAY EXPERIENCE, Monday–Thursday, July 28–31, 2025 from 1–3pm at Simply Music Studios in New Lenox. This is the perfect launchpad for young artists to find their voice and shine like the stars they admire. Our aspiring stars get the chance to perform and learn from the music of today's most iconic artists. We’ll also have workshops on performance, costume designing, and choreography. Our Popstar performers will be the opening act of Simply Music's Willy Wonka Jr. production on Saturday, August 9 at 7:00pm. Preregistration is required. Registration deadline: July 21. Fee: $189.
