Love Stinks And Your Ex Does, Too: Name A NAWS Litterbox After Them
NAWS Humane Society in Mokena has a poop-osition for you—get the kind of closure you never knew you needed.
MOKENA, IL — Get a whiff of this.
Revenge can be pretty sweet, or maybe—and some might say, even better—a bit stinky.
NAWS Humane Society of Mokena is giving supporters a chance to take a symbolic swing at an ex: for a $10 donation, they'll write his or her name on one of their shelter's litterboxes.

"For a $10 donation, we will serve justice for you via a stinky box of poo," staff wrote in the promo. "Your ex's name will be displayed proudly on one of our rescue cats' toilet for everyone to see and behold."
If you don't have an ex who lives rent-free in your brain (lucky you), they have some other ideas. It's not exclusive to just a former romantic partner—anyone's names can be put on the poop bins.

"Don't have an ex? First of all, stop bragging," staff said. "Second, we are positive that you have SOMEONE you wish you could serve justice to. Mother-in-law? She can get a stinky surprise. Bully from high school? Who's laughing now. Weird neighbor? Cat pie is served."
Located at 9981 190th St. in Mokena, NAWS is a 501c3 no-kill humane society. They provide low-cost spay and neuter services (for animals only, guys) and also rehome approximately 2,500 homeless pets each year.
So many exes, and only so many litterboxes, so get your donations in early. Be sure to include the name of the ex, and be sure your email is correct. Staff will send you the evidence via email within two weeks of your donation.
Organizers ask that you be patient while waiting for proof—this fundraiser is poopular and everyone wants a piece.
