Please describe why this individual is a hero at your school.

I would like to nominate Mrs. Chris for recognition for the incredible care and kindness she shows as a bus driver. My daughter Mia has been riding Mrs. Chris’s bus for the past two years, starting at just 3 years old. As a parent of a non-verbal child, putting her on the bus for the first time came with a lot of worry and uncertainty. But from day one, Mrs. Chris has gone above and beyond to make Mia feel safe, comfortable and happy. Mrs. Chris greets Mia with such warmth every day, and her gentle, kind nature has truly made a difference in our lives. She always takes the time to update us, sharing how Mia is smiling and happy throughout the entire ride — something that brings us so much comfort and joy. We know that the reason Mia feels so at ease is because of the nurturing environment Mrs. Chris creates on her bus. We are incredibly grateful for Mrs. Chris and the compassion, patience, and dedication she brings to her role. She has been a constant, positive presence in Mia’s day, and we couldn’t ask for a better person to trust with our daughter’s transportation. She is truly deserving of recognition.
