Mokena Business Giving Out CBD Dog Treats Ahead Of July 4
SunKissed Greenz in Mokena will hand out one free CBD dog treat per dog per customer on June 28 and 29.

MOKENA, IL — A Mokena business is looking to help out the dog community leading up to the July 4 holiday, with a free taste of a little something to help soothe them during the pops, bangs, and fizzles.
Sunkissed Greenz, 19121 Wolf Rd, will hand out free CBD dog treats on June 28 and June 29.
One of the key benefits of CBD for dogs is its potential to alleviate anxiety and stress, the store said in a release. Dogs can experience anxiety in various situations, such as during thunderstorms, fireworks, or when left alone. CBD works by interacting with the endocannabinoid system in the body, which helps regulate mood and stress responses.

"Unlike other mass-produced dog treats, our CBD rich biscuits are artisan-crafted in small batches and made with organic hemp concentrate from local grown hemp," said Misty Nelson, owner of Sunkissed Greenz. "Every dog treat is made with all-natural healthy ingredients such as carrot, vitamin E, pumpkin, peanut butter, and more. All of our dog products are THC free."
Nelson stressed it is important that pets do not consume THC, as they are five times more sensitive to Cannabinoids than humans are.
