Mokena Honors Retiring Public Works Director Craig Heim
Public Works Director Craig Heim retires after 37 years for the Village of Mokena.
A Mokena legend was honored April 11 by past mayors and trustees. Craig Heim, public works director for 37 years, officially retired.
Known by the community as the tall guy with red hair, Heim started his career with the village in 1975, performing street maintenance, according to the website for the Village of Mokena. His commitment and dedication helped him to advance through the chief position in the public works department.
