Noonan Academy's 7th grade girls' basketball team wins championship
The Noonan Academy 7th grade girls’ basketball team accomplished a monumental achievement on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Mother McAuley high school. Something that has only been done five times for our Lady Crusaders in the 27 years of the academy’s history. Addison Armon, Rachel Dunn, Makayla Fortson, Melanie Hague, Jenna Hoang, Maya Krutul, Norah McDermott, Klarke Mosby, Jillian So, and Sophia Valentini, led by Coach Kimak and Coach Morey won 9-5 against St. Christina in the championship game.
Amazing defensive skills were on display by both Krutul and Mosby while Fortson clinched the game winning shot.
Coach Kimak had this to share about the win, “It has been an amazing season. Every single one of these girls has grown tremendously on the basketball court. I couldn’t be prouder of how they ended the season. Go Crusaders!”
