UPDATE: Plan Ahead for Route 30 Construction Closures
Schoolhouse Road and Tall Grass Drive are both expected to be closed for the next two to three weeks due to construction along the major roadway.
The commute along Route 30 in the area just got a little bit hairier.
Shortly after , the announced the closures of Schoolhouse Road and Tall Grass Drive. Tall Grass Drive is closed as of June 14, while Schoolhouse is closed as of of Thursday, June 21.
The closures are expected to last two to three weeks each, according to the Village’s website.

Detours for Schoolhouse Road will be along Francis and Marley roads, while the detours for Tall Grass Drive are Abbey Road to Wolf Road and Ridgemore Road to U.S. Route 30.
The construction project along Route 30 has a projected budget of $72 million and is expected to be complete by fall 2012. More information about the project can be found at IDOT’s website or by calling the Village at (708) 479-3927.
