Shoe Drive In Mokena To Benefit Two Charity Organizations
After hosting a coat drive last month, organizers will host a shoe drive Saturday to benefit Christmas Without Cancer and Together We Cope.
MOKENA, IL — When Karyn Murphy decided to host a coat drive last month, scores of people donated. More than 340 coats were collected and donated to Tinley Park-based Together We Cope, a nonprofit organization that provides food, shelter, clothing and referrals for those in the south suburbs.
The coat drive was so successful that Murphy has decided to host a shoe drive Saturday, with Together We Cope and Christmas Without Cancer, based in Oak Lawn, being the recipients this time around.
The shoe drive is scheduled to be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at KamBri Realty, LLC, where Murphy is the owner and managing broker, and AAIS Insurance at their office at 19031 Old LaGrange Road Suite 210 in Mokena.
