Stickers: They're Not Just For Kids Anymore
Village of Mokena vehicle stickers go on sale May 1 and Patch is here with the ins-and-outs of keeping residents on the right side of the law.

It's that time of year again, when the grass is turning green and residents have to turn over some green to the , for vehicle stickers.
Starting May 1, the Village of Mokena will be sending out order forms for vehicle sticker renewals. New stickers are required by June 30, giving residents about 60 days to fill out their orders.

Residents 65 years of age and older are eligible for two free stickers to vehicles registered to the senior per household.
Residents wishing to transfer purchased vehicle stickers to new vehicles after July 1 must pay a $1 transfer fee.

New residents of Mokena can call the Village Administration Office at 708-479-3900 to order stickers. New residents have 60 days from the time of move-in to purchase stickers.
For those wishing to purchase vehicle stickers in person, stickers may be purchased at the , 10907 W. Front St., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
To order a new sticker, residents must have their name, address, phone number, drivers license number, year and make of vehicle, body style, color, license plate number, and vehicle identification number. An order form for vehicle stickers can be found, here.
