Street Improvements In Mokena Scheduled For After Labor Day: Village
Several areas in Mokena will see roadwork improvements begin after Monday's holiday.
MOKENA, IL — Street and roadway maintenance in Mokena is expected to get underway shortly after the Labor Day holiday, according to an alert sent Wednesday by the Village.
Areas that will receive specific attention this cycle include the following:
- Willow Lane from Catulpa Street to 88th Avenue;
- Corporate Corridors, including Darvin Drive, 192nd Street, and the adjacent portion of 88th Avenue;
- The Oaks subdivision.
The Village is asking motorists to use alternate routes whenever possible.

"Although efforts will be made to limit the impacts of construction on surrounding areas, some inconveniences may be experienced," according to the Village.
