Tangled Web of Baby Murder Trial: Court Supervision

A murder trial that ran through the entire week and has yet to wrap up featured puzzling allegations and unanswered questions.

The trial of a Plainfield man charged with beating his girlfriend's baby to death started this week and will last into the next one.

So far, the former girlfriend of 33-year-old Santos Loza admitted to continuing her sexual relationship with him for months after Loza allegedly killer her son. The ex-girlfriend, Sandra Sitko, claimed  she was trying to "find out what happened" to her 8-month-old baby, Kevion Bender.

During the trial, prosecutors played a video of detectives interrogating Loza. During the lengthy questioning, Loza repeatedly told detectives he had no idea how Kevion suffered broken ribs, a fractured skull and numerous bruises before dying.
