Village Of Mokena: Stephen Chlebek Promoted To Police Sergeant

Stephen Chlebek, an almost 19-year veteran of the Mokena Police Department (MPD), was promoted earlier this month to the position of Police Sergeant.

Hired in early 2003 as a patrol officer, Sergeant Chlebek has also worked as a detective, and is trained as both a lead homicide investigator and a sexual assault investigator.  He has further served as a field training officer and as an evidence technician, and in membership with the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System.  Over the course of his career with the MPD, he has received numerous awards, including two Life-Saving Awards, one Letter of Meritorious Duty, twenty-four Letters of Distinguished Duty, and eleven Letters of Exceptional Duty.
