Woman Charged In Rear-End Crash On La Grange Road: Police
The multi-vehicle crash happened Tuesday near the I-80 exit.

MOKENA, IL — Mokena police charged a woman for her involvement in a crash Tuesday that also involved in three other vehicles, according to Mokena Police Department Interim Chief Brian Benton.
Elizabeth Riegler, 44, of Palos Park, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, unsafe equipment (tires) and driving while license suspended, Benton said.
Mokena police responded to the crash that happened at approximately 9:49 a.m. Tuesday on northbound La Grange Road near the Interstate-80 exit, according to Benton. The cause of the crash appeared to Riegler's vehicle rear-ending another, with a total of four vehicles involved in the crash, according to Benton.

The crash was first reported on social media Tuesday, where a motorist who witnessed the aftermath of the crash told Patch that at least two of the vehicles had heavy damage. Other cars were stopped, but the witness could not tell if they were involved.
