Wood Street Cabinet In Mokena To Unveil New Showroom
A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house are planned for Thursday.
MOKENA, IL — Wood Street Cabinet plans to unveil Thursday its new showroom in Mokena, and the company is inviting to public to come check it out.
The new showroom, located at 9712 W. 191st St., will celebrate its official grand opening from 4-8 p.m. The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. with the Mokena Chamber of Commerce, followed by an open house open to the public. The Frankfort Chamber of Commerce is also participating in the event.
Wood Street Cabinet has been operating in Mokena since 2015, said Lori Powless, who co-owns the company with her husband, Joel Powless. The couple have been creating custom cabinetry for more than 30 years, she said.

The family-run business specializes in custom, semi-custom cabinetry and kitchen reface, Powless said. The company services both commercial and residential properties, she said.
In addition to their business, the Powless' volunteer with the Lutheran Early Response Team, which travels to areas hit by storms to assist in cleanup by removing damaged trees after such natural disasters. The group also makes quilts and hands those out to people in those areas free of charge.
