Zoellner Made 'Lasting Impact' In 19 Years As Mokena Assistant Manager
Kirk Zoellner retired from his role with the village this month after 19 years using leadership to drive strategic village initiatives.

MOKENA, IL — The Village of Mokena recently recognized assistant village manager Kirk Zoellner, who served the village for nearly 20 years and has left his role after retiring earlier this month.
Zoellner “made a lasting impact” on the village, officials said this week, adding that since joining the village administrative staff in 2003, played a significant role with the village through his involvement and leadership in numerous strategic village board initiatives.
Zoellner will be remembered by those around the community and by his fellow employees for his professional consistency, reliability, problem-solving abilities and commitment to providing excellent public services to the residents and businesses throughout the community, the village wrote on its website this week honoring Zoellner’s 19 years of service.

Zoellner finished his tenure on January 6 and has been replaced by new assistant village manager Greg Anderson, who was appointed to the role last month. Anderson began work in the role on Jan. 10.
Zoellner will be recognized at Monday's Village Council meeting, according to an agenda which was released on Friday.
