Biking On Wrong Side of Road Leads to Warrant Arrest: Sheriff

Sunday, Oct. 13
Warrant
Bailey Sophie-Melvina Dahl, 19, of the 3000 block of North Damon Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 12:07 p.m. in the 1700 block of Route 30, Oswego on a warrant after responding to the area for a trespassing incident, said the Sheriff’s office.
Burglary

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a burglary of a dirt bike that occurred at 6 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Dreas Drive, Oswego. The bike, valued at $1,500, as taken from a locked shed on the resident’s property.

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a burglary that occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. in the 8800 block of Route 30, Bristol. Unknown subject/s entered a detached garage and removed a bicycle valued at approximately $650.
Warrant
Scott Alan Mckinsey, 40, of the 3100 block of Roth Road, Oswego, was arrested at his residence on an out of state warrant, said the Sheriff’s office.
Friday, Oct. 11
Theft
Sheriff’s deputies took a report of theft that occurred between 2 p.m. on Oct. 10 and 3 a.m. on Oct. 11 in the 100 block of Mary Street, Oswego. A bicycle valued under $300 was reported taken from a backyard.
Thursday, Oct. 10
Disorderly conduct
Deputies responded to an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred at 4:44 p.m. in the 100 block of Harbor drive. The victim reported that a subject arrived at the residence and yelled at the victim. The victim requested the Sheriff’s office make contact with the subject and advise them not to come to the property. No charges were filed.
Burglary to motor vehicle
Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred between 3 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Light Road, Oswego. An unknown subject used force to open the trunk of a vehicle and remove an item, also causing damage to the vehicle.
Criminal damage to state supported property
Phillip Patrick Pavone, 45, of the 200 block of Regency Drive, Bloomingdale, was charged with criminal damage to state supported property after he damage a phone and television within a cell at the Kendall County Jail, said the Sheriff’s office. Total damage was estimated at $200.
Wednesday, Oct. 9
Warrant, obstructing identification
Joseph Thomas Smithey, 18, of the 1400 block of Light Road, Oswego, was arrested at 11:12 p.m. at Route 31 and West Anchor Drive, Oswego on a warrant out of DeKalb County after he was stopped for riding a bicycle on the wrong side of the road, said the Sheriff’s office. He provided an incorrect name to the deputies as well and was subsequently charged for obstructing identification.
Tuesday, Oct. 8
Speeding
Anthony Peter Malamis, 42, of the 900 block of Bradley Street, Montgomery, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. at Route 34 and West, Oswego, and charged with speeding 89mph in a 40mph zone riding a yellow 2008 Ducati motorcycle, said the Sheriff’s office.
Monday, Oct. 7
Disorderly conduct, trespass to residence
David Lynn Leasure, 44, of the 2200 block of Light Road, was arrested at 3:12 p.m. in the 2200 block of Light Road and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass to residence after deputies went to the area for a domestic violence situation in progress, said the Sheriff’s office.
Hit and run traffic crash
Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a hit and run traffic crash that occurred between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Codorus Road, Montgomery. The victim said his car was parked on the street and another vehicle struck it. There are no suspects at this time.
